Vice President of Marketing, Visit Overland Park

2018 – Current

Visit OP looked to a new marketing leader to develop the city as a leisure travel destination. The organization had a $2.3 million budget and over 5,000 hotel rooms. As second to the CEO, I developed our marketing strategy, built trust with community stakeholders, lead internal marketing & communications team and managed external agencies. 

 

Vice President of Community Engagement, Goodwill of Western Kansas and Eastern Missouri

2015 – 2018

Goodwill searched for a seasoned marketer to apply for-profit branding skills in a nonprofit setting. I succeeded in increasing mission awareness, improving brand reputation, and growing development and donation strategies.  I led a team of 10 overseeing all marketing, public relations, communications, fundraising, volunteers, community programs, and special events. Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas operates independently of Goodwill International with 20 locations and a $25 million operating budget.

 

Director of Brand Marketing, Houlihan’s Restaurants, Inc.

2007–2014

Developed marketing strategy and built collaborative brand marketing team. My team managed paid media, public relations, cause-marketing, events & sponsorship, and local store marketing. At peak, HRI had 130 restaurants with gross revenues over $280 million.

When I’m not geeking out over brand strategies, I’m wrangling two small children, taste-testing my husband’s latest creation, and championing causes that matter to me. I serve as Board Member for CASA of Jackson County, and give back to causes that support children. I love coffee and yoga. I miss traveling.
